Bridal Show at the Double Tree

Mixed White & Ivory
Pink Peonies

Hot Pink Calla Lilies
Orange & Chocolate Fall Mix Leonida Roses with Gerbera Daisies

On Father's Day we had a booth at the BrideWorld Show at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario. Usually it is so crazy that I don't get a chance to really speak with many brides. This time, I met quite a few brides and was able to speak to them in detail about what they are looking for.

I wanted to share the most popular bouquets from the show. Enjoy!

Stephanie & Eric at St Simon & St Jude and the Waterfront Hilton

Stephanie & Eric were married June 14, 2008 at St Simon & St Jude Church in Huntington Beach. The reception was held at the Waterfront Hilton just minutes away. I did the flowers for Stephanie's sister Christa about a year and a half ago, so I was honored to do another event for this lovely family! Stephanie chose a beautiful bouquet of Orange Dahlias and Orange Tulips. The picture of this bouquet does not do it justice! It was stunning! The bridesmaids, in Navy Blue dresses, carried hand tied bouquets of Orange Gerbera Daisies. The Orange flower theme was used throughout the ceremony and reception. Everyone that came into the studio while we were designing the flowers for this wedding were amazed of how beautiful the were just using Orange flowers! With 27 guest tables, having two different styles of centerpieces really was an important factor! When entering the room, guests say flowers everywhere in the room, rather than just all high or all low on the tables. With coordination provided by Holly Chavez of HMC Event Solutions, this wedding was perfect!

Kaysie & Michael at Sierra Lakes

Kaysie & Michael were married June 14, 2008 at Sierra Lakes Golf Course. Kaysie is a friend of Holly Chavez of HMC Event Solutions and her husband. But, as you see in my other post for the day, Holly did the coordination for Stephanie and Eric. Holly recommended Kaysie & Michael hire Mary Jo Gallegos of An Affaire of the Heart for their coordinator instead! Talk about teamwork! Mary Jo is so experienced at what she does, that every event that I do with her is completely stress free for everyone! As on most weddings, I did not get a chance to meet the groom. But, Kaysie and her mom were an absolute pleasure to work for! I couldn't ask for a sweeter bride! Kaysie carried a bouquet of White & Ivory Roses, White Calla Lilies, Stephanotis accented with crystals, and just a few Black Magic Red Roses. The Gazebo at Sierra Lakes is on the small side, so we wanted to give the illusion that it was a little bit bigger than it actually was. Instead of draping the fresh Ruscus Garland on the inside poles, we placed it on the second pole in. We then added the top spray, flower clusters in the top corners, and teardrop clusters about halfway down. The aisle chairs were also decorated with coordinating clusters that were placed along the Head Table after the ceremony. With 20 guest tables, Kaysie decided to use two different style centerpieces. Half were mixed arrangements with a cylinder vase with a floating candle in the center. The other half were in short vases with red acrylic rocks with red submersible lights to give the table a nice glowing effect.

Gina & Marc at Grand Traditions in Fallbrook

Gina & Marc were married June 14, 2008 at Grand Traditions in Fallbrook. This is the first wedding that I have done at this most beautiful location! Gina is an Esthetician that my mom has been going to years. It's always fun for us to do the flowers for someone for we know personally! In my favorite color no less! Gina carried a bouquet of Bi-Color White & Hot Pink Roses, while the girls carried mixed bouquets of Pinks with Chocolate Brown accents. The Lakeside Gazebo was decorated with a fresh Lemon Leaf Garland with blooms of Roses and Gerbera Daisies and a center top spray. The centerpieces alternated between high and low in shades of Pink with Chocolate accents. We placed assorted size blooms of Dahlias, Roses, Mini Gerberas, Spray Roses, and Chocolate Hypercum around each layer of the pale blue frosted cake.

Michele & Rudy at the Mission Inn

Michele & Rudy were married June 8, 2008 at the Mission Inn in Riverside. Black and Deep Reds were the colors of this very elegant affair. More than 400 Ecuadorian Roses in Black Magic Red were used throughout the Ceremony and Reception! Michele carried a dramatic bouquet of Black Magic Roses and Dark Burgundy Calla Lilies. In loving memory of her father, we intertwined his rosary into her bouquet. The bridal party consisting of a Maid of Honor, seven Bridesmaids, and two Jr Bridesmaids all carried bouquets of roses. The gentlemen all wore Dark Burgundy Calla boutonnieres. We hung flower clusters on the railings in the Chapel, along with hand tied bouquets accented with Black ribbon down the aisle. Votive candles along the Chapel walls gave a most romantic glow to the room! The reception was held in the Music Room. We provide the Black Dazzle Linens that covered all the tables, along with the Mahogany Chiavari Chairs that surrounded them. The bride placed Deep Red chargers at every place setting, that we accented with the matching Black Dazzle Napkins tied with a Black Satin Bow. The centerpieces were alternating low and high. The elevated centerpieces were grand arrangements of Roses, Dahlias, Asiactic Lilies, Snaps, Alstroemeria, with Black Accents of Seeded Eucalyptus & Curly Willow. The Giant Red Kissing Balls we hung from all four chandeliers were commented on by everyone who came through the room. This was definitely one of my favorite weddings this year!

Sarah & Nicholas at the Guasti Villa

Sarah & Nicholas were married June 7, 2008 at the Guasti Villa. Cranberry, Orange, and Light Greens were the perfect colors for this historic location. Sarah's bouquet was a stunning combination of Black Magic and Spicey Roses, Hocus Pocus Sweetheart Roses, Burgundy Dahlias, Orange Callas, and Green Hypercum Berries. The Bridesmaids carried similar bouquets with the addition of Green Fuji Mums, and Dark Orange Button Mums. The fountain in the courtyard was draped with Ivory Chiffon with a spray of flowers in the wedding colors that made a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. The aisle was also draped with Ivory Chiffon with flowers clusters hanging from the chairs. Glass cylinder vases with Red Novelty Orchids and a floating candle decorated the cocktail tables which would surround the dance floor after the ceremony. Sarah assembled Manzanita branches in classic urns and provided crystals that were hung from the branches. We added Red Novelty Orchids and Green Cymbidium Orchids to bring in the wedding colors. Alternating tables used the same urns, but with a more classic centerpiece arrangement.

Kiyona & Paul at Etiwanda Gardens

Kiyona & Paul were married June 7, 2008 at the Etiwanda Gardens. Kiyona carried a hand tied bouquet of Ivory & Pink Roses, Pink Calla Lilies, and Stephanotis with Pink Pearl Accents. The wedding colors of Tropic Blue and Hot Pink was beautiful combination for the early Summer day! The bride's sister, acting as Maid of Honor, carried a bouquet of Ivory Roses with Hot Pink Calla Lilies. While the Bridesmaids carried bouquets of Pink Roses with White Freesia. In the Chapel, we draped White Tulle down the aisle and added clusters of flowers to be used at the reception on the head tables. The centerpieces in shades of Hot Pink with a hint of White, were placed on vases that Kiyona had found and fell in love with. We place a single Dahlia bloom in the vase for a touch of color on the Blue overlays.

Courtney & Robert at Sacred Heart Church and Green Mtn Ranch

Courtney & Robert were married June 7, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church. The reception was held at Green Mountain Ranch. Courtney carried a mixed Spring bouquet that consisted of Roses, Lisianthus, Delphinium, Freesia, Sweet Peas, and Stock. The Maid of Honor, Bridesmaids, and Flower Girls all carried smaller versions of this same bouquet. The centerpieces were kept simple, by placing a single Hydrangea stem, in alternating colors, with a collar of greens in a small vase wrapped with Curly Willow. With 16 tables, this look showed the wedding colors throughout the reception area.

Courtney & Alex at Edwards Mansion

Courtney & Alex were married May 31, 2008 at the Edwards Mansion in Redlands. After postponing there wedding eight months and completely changing the colors, it was great to finally do this wedding! Courtney loved the bouquet she had picked originally, but when the colors changed from Fall colors to bright Pinks & Greens, she had a really hard time deciding what to do for her bouquet. About a week before the wedding, Courtney came into the studio and found the perfect color roses. Her hand tied bouquet consisted of Pink & White Bi-color Roses, a few Orlando Pink Roses, and Stephanotis. We made a similar miniature bouquet for the flower girl. The bridesmaids wore Sage Green dress and carried mixed bouquets of Pinks & Greens. For the reception, Courtney & Alex chose alternating centerpieces in Silver Urns & Silver Pedestals. The flowers included Hydrangea, Roses, Garden Roses, Carnations, Gerbera Daisies, Stock, Snap Dragons, Sweet Peas, Bells of Ireland, Fuji Mums, and more in bright Pinks & Greens. We also provided the Sage Green Embroidered Overlays that I think made a huge difference in the look of the room! Their cake is definitely one of my favorite things! Courtney brought me a picture of exactly how she wanted the cake to look. It turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined!

Jennifer & Steve at the Double Tree Hotel

Jennifer & Steve were married May 31, 2008 at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario. Last year, we had the privilege of providing the flowers for Jennifer's sister Meagan's wedding at Etiwanda Gardens. It was an absolute pleasure to do another wedding for this family! Jennifer carried a hand tied mixed bouquet of Roses, Alstroemeria, Stock, Lisianthus, Sweet Peas, and Miniature Gerbera Daisies all in white. As Matron of Honor, Meagan wore a Black dress with a Turquoise accent and carried a bouquet similar to the bride, but with Fuchsia Mini Gerbera Daisies. The bridesmaids carried the same bouquets, but were dressed in Turquoise with a Black accent. I really like the contrast in the colors of the flowers against the dresses. This is the first time that I have decorated the newly remodeled gazebo at the Double Tree. We hung flower clusters in White & Fuchsia with Turquoise ribbon on the four concrete poles that face the guests. A large spray was also placed on the gazebo as an overhang to Jennifer & Steve. Chairs for the ceremony were decorated with simple Pink & White Stargazer Lilies with Turquoise ribbon. Holly Chavez, of HMC Event Solutions, did an excellent job as coordinator for this event (as always!)
