The first Bridal Expo of the year at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside was a huge success!  With the amount of brides limited to such a small number, I was able to speak in greater detail about their wedding vision!  We decorated the St. Francis of Assisi Chapel as it would be in the Mission Inn’s “Enhancement Package.”  This is my favorite look for the Chapel!  Less is definitely more!  The flowers on the front railing can be transferred to the Head Table and the flowers on the chairs can be transferred to the Cake Table!  The linens and chairs in the Spanish Art Gallery were provided by Elegant Design Specialty Linens.  I have fabric samples in my studio of all available linens, so both your flowers and linens can be chosen on the same day!

The Historic Mission Inn in Riverside held it’s first Bridal Open House of the year on January 10. For the first time, they decided to give participating vendors a theme for the show. Our theme of Diamonds & Pearls was a HUGE success! Also for the first time, some of the Guest Rooms were also open for viewing. We had the pleasure of decorating these guest rooms along with the Galleria. We draped Ivory chiffon across the room from the chandeliers, along with hanging crystal balls adorned with fresh flowers. The high centerpieces were dripping with crystals that sparkled from the specialty lighting and many candles. The alternate centerpieces sat upon crystal containers that also sparkled from the many candles!

I met so many brides eager to start planning their dream wedding day! I look forward to speaking with you again soon!

Janette & Joe at the Historic Mission Inn

Janette & Joe were married November 20, 2009 at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside. Janette has been the sweetest bride through this whole process! She has been so excited and I couldn't wait to show her what I came up with! Janette was definitely all about the sparkle! We lightly sprayed silver glitter on the bouquets to really make them sparkle! The Spanish Art Gallery looked amazing! The highlight being the Curly Willow Arch accented with Blush Pink Dendrobium Orchids over the cake table! Wonderfully romantic!

Kelly & Joe Reception at the Historic Mission Inn

Kelly & Joe were married November 7, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Riverside with their Reception in the Music Room at the Mission Inn in Riverside. With Kelly & Joe living in Virginia, a lot of the wedding was planned via mail & email! With the help of Mary Jo Gallegos of An Affaire of the Heart the evening could not have turned out better!

I received the following email the day after the wedding...

Hi Heather,I just wanted to send a quick note to say THANK YOU for the GORGEOUS flowers on Saturday. From the bouquets, the pew bows, the alter arrangements to the centerpieces, everything was simply beautiful. You read my mind and made my dreams reality and I can't begin to thank you enough. We've seen some of Curtis' photos and the flowers just pop off the page. LOVE THEM!! I could go on, but I'll spare you my post-wedding mushiness. We're off to our honeymoon now, but I just couldn't leave without saying thank you. You rock - thank you!!Take care,Kelly

Kristina & Juan Reception at the Hilltop Suites

Kristina & Juan were married October 24, 2009 at Pilgrim Congregational Church with their Reception at the Hilltop Suites. Gorgeous Fall color flowers included Roses, Dahlias, Alstroemeria, Snap Dragons, and Hanging Amaranthus!

Coral & Khanh at the Historic Mission Inn

Coral & Khanh were married October 24, 2009 at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside. Coral had seen our work at one of the Bridal Open Houses at the Mission Inn, so she knew exactly what she wanted her bouquets to look like. Bouquet that are entirely made of Cymbidium Orchids are usually for the bride. But, in this case she wanted them for all of her girls! To make Coral's stand out, hers was made with Green Cymbidiums and Purple Lisianthus. This color combination turned out fantastic! Inside the glass vases of the high centerpieces, we placed Lucky Bamboo with Curly Willow accented with Dendrobium Orchid blooms! The Chocolate Brown Manzanita Tree for the place card table was accented with Dendrobium Orchids and Chinese Lanterns.

South Coast Winery's Bridal Open House

South Coast Winery had their Fall Bridal Open House on October 11, 2009. For this Open House we were set up in a separate part of the Grand Ballroom which was set with beautiful leather lounge furniture. This is definitely a growing trend in the industry! Along with a Martini Luge, this was a gathering point at the end of a successful day!

Emily & Justin at the King's Ranch

Emily & Justin were married at the King's Ranch in Rancho Cucamonga. Emily's all White bouquet consisted of Roses, Lisianthus, Sweet Peas, Freesia, and the most delicate Lily of the Valley! This picture does not do justice as to how wonderfully romantic this bouquet was. Definitely one of my favorites!! The gorgeous Yellow & Green Centerpieces were accented with fresh Lemons & Limes! Mary Jo Gallegos of An Affaire of the Heart provided the flawless coordination!

Katie & Alex at the Double Tree Hotel in Claremont

Katie & Alex were married October 10, 2009 at the Double Tree Hotel in Claremont. Katie had some of the best vendors around! Michelle Johnson Photography was the amazing photographer! Rachel & Eric Calamigos Equestrian

Rachel & Eric were married September 19, 2009 at the Calamigos Equestrian in Burbank. I met Rachel a few years back while she was working at our bank. I was so excited when her and Eric became engaged! Even more so, when she gave me the opportunity to do her flowers! Her colors of Chocolate, Green, and Pink are some of my favorites!! I absolutely loved the Pomander Balls of Green Carnations, Pink Mini Gerberas, and Chocolate Satin Ribbon the were hung on alternating ceremony chairs! A perfect wedding to end our Summer!

Historic Mission Inn Tasting Night!

On September 21, 2009, the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside had their first Group Tasting Event! Brides and their families were invited to taste the many offerings that the Mission Inn has to offer. Along with the food and drinks, were specific vendors from the Mission Inn Preferred Vendor List to offer their services. This is a sample of what we showcased that evening!

Crysten & Josh at the Diamond Bar Center

Crysten & Josh were married September 13, 2009 at United Brethren Church in Claremont with their reception at the Diamond Bar Center. Crysten provided beautiful broaches to give to each of her attendants. We attached them to each of the bouquets as a surprise! Crysten also found the glass urns and candle stands to use for the centerpieces. We just supplied the arrangements! It's always so nice to add to the bride's personal touches!

Jaclyn & Kenny at Etiwanda Gardens

Jaclyn & Kenny were married September 12, 2009 at Etiwanda Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. The bride & groom are the ultimate Dodgers fans! So, it was only fitting that their wedding colors be Royal Blue & White! I don't use Cobalt Blue Roses often, but they were certainly helpful in completing this theme! With more than 20 tables, we used three different centerpieces to give the room some variety!

Tracie & Jeff at the Mission Inn

Tracie & Jeff were married June 13, 2009 at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church with their reception held in the Music Room at the Mission Inn. I met Tracie at the Mission Inn Bridal Open House back in January. She has been such a pleasure to work with over the past few months, I really enjoyed this event! Tracie found beautiful gold backed Rhinestones to wrap not only her bouquet, but also her Maid of Honor's (who happened to be her sister!) The centerpieces were a combination of two different styles. The inside tables had basic centerpieces with accents of Curly Willow. The outer tables were a little bit larger at the base, with Natural Dark Wood Manzanita branches that were accented with Orange Singapore Dendrobium blooms and a crystal garland that Tracie had found in LA while shopping for Rhinestones!
I received this great email on Sunday morning!
Heather,

OMG - - - the flowers were beautiful!!!! I received so many comments about how gorgeous they all were, from all the bouquets to the centerpieces, to every minor accent!!!! You really outdid yourselves and I truly appreciate it.
As soon as I see my photographers photo selection, I will send a couple photos of the flowers for your collection, if you would like.

I just have one quick question.... I would LOVE to preserve my bouquet (not alive, obviously), how would I go about doing that so that they remain in tact and just as beautiful as today? Please let me know if you would.

Thanks again for all your attention and hard work!

Tracie

Kelly & Andy at Puddingstone Resort

Kelly & Andy were married June 6, 2009 at the Puddingstone Resort. The Tropical Theme of the wedding came through in the beautiful bouquets of Dendrobium Orchids. What a great burst of color against the Black Bridesmaid dresses! The centerpieces were simple arrangements of White Iris, Bombay Orchids, White Gladiolus Blooms, with Black Curly Willow as an accent.

Desarae & Nick at Green Mountain Ranch

Desarae & Nick were married May 30, 2009 at Green Mountain Ranch in Lytle Creek. The bouquets of Ivory Roses and White & Black Gerbera Daisies gave quite a contrast to the Black Bridesmaids dresses! The bride used Glass Compotes from the 1960's as the base for the all White Centerpieces.

Natalie & Rene at the Mission Inn

Natalie & Rene were married May 3, 2009 at the Historic Mission Inn. Natalie carried a bouquet of Bi-color Pink Roses with Black Magic Red Roses. The ribbon that tied Natalie's bouquet contained pictures in loving memory of her mother. The seven bridesmaids carried bouquets of Pink Gerbera Daisies that matched perfectly with their Candy Pink dresses. The guest tables in the Spanish Art Gallery were covered in Ivory Satin Linens with Champagne Satin Chair Covers. It is amazing how much Chair Covers can change the look of this room! The centerpieces were simple arrangements of Roses & Gerbera Daisies. Perfect for an afternoon Spring wedding!

Jodie & Shawn at the Christmas House

Jodie & Shawn were married May 2, 2009 at the Christmas House in Rancho Cucamonga. I love the colors Jodie picked for this beautiful Spring wedding! Unfortunately there wasn't much sun, but these colors definitely brightened the day! Jodie's bouquet had White Stargazers, Yellow Daffodils, Freesia, Alstroemeria, and Orlando Pink Roses. The bridesmaids wore Canary Yellow dresses with bouquets of Roses, Alstroemeria, Mums, and Solidaster. The hand tied bouquets on the ceremony aisle stood out perfectly against the white chairs! The centerpieces were in Terra Cotta pots, which I think was the perfect choice for a garden location like the Christmas House!

Julianne & Danny at the Dana Point Chart House

Julianne & Danny were married April 25, 2009 at the Chart House in Dana Point. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day! With spectacular views of the ocean, this a great So Cal location! Julianne absolutely loved her bouquet of Black Magic Red Roses with Stephanotis! One of the Flower Girls had a fresh basket of flowers with Rose Petals. The other Flower Girl, just over a year old, carried her basket in a perfectly decorated Wagon that transported her down the aisle! How cute is that!

We had the pleasure of doing the flowers for Julianne's sister Jessica nine years ago! They are a wonderful family to work for, and it was great to see Julianne all grown up as a Beautiful Bride!

Erika & Rodrigo at the Mission Inn

Erika & Rodrigo were married April 24, 2009 at the Historic Mission Inn. Erika carried a hand tied bouquet of White & Yellow Asiatic Lilies, Alstroemeria, and Stephanotis. The bridesmaids wore Clover Green dresses and carried bouquets of Yellow Asiatic Lilies. The Centerpieces in the Music Room were alternating between Square Vases and Gold Urns. Both had mixed arrangements of Whites, Yellows, and Greens. Beautiful Yellow Cymbidiums made the perfect accent to the White Cake!

Knachell & Brett at South Coast Winery

Knachell & Brett were married March 14, 2009 at South Coast Winery in Temecula. Planning a wedding can be a stressful situation for any bride, but planning out of state is a whole other thing! The last couple of weeks before the wedding Knachell & I spoke on the phone a lot!! I couldn't have been happier that her day was the day she dreamed of! Knachell carried a hand tied bouquet of Burgundy Cymbidium Orchids & Fuchsia Calla Lilies. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of Burgundy Dahlias. The ceremony was held at the Rose Arbor with a spectacular view of the vineyards! Simple rose petals scattered along side the aisle was just enough to add to this beautiful setting! In the Barrel Room, the guest tables were adorned with Champagne Iridescent Overlays, while the chairs were accented with Burgundy Iridescent Sashes. Grapes filled the alternating centerpieces that were topped with Burgundy Roses, Lilies, Dahlias, and Fuchsia Gerbera Daisies. These colors complemented this room perfectly!

Sandra & Jason at the Mission Inn

Sandra & Jason were married March 14, 2009 at the Historic Mission Inn. Sandra's favorite color is purple, so it was her obvious choice for her main wedding color! With burgundy as a complementing color, this wedding was stunning! This picture of Sandra's bouquet, does not do it justice! Purple flowers of Lisianthus, Tulips, Sweet Peas, Alstroemeria, and Stock, were accented with Burgundy & White Roses. The bridesmaids carried and even combination of the Purple & Burgundy. The Altar was filled with assorted pillar candles that gave a beautiful and romantic glow to this already amazing Chapel! The guest tables in the Spanish Art Gallery featured an Organza Overlay in Eggplant. The centerpieces consisted of a center arrangement of Burgundy Carnations surrounded by Martini Glasses that were filled with Red acrylic rocks, a submersible Red light, and Purple flowers.

Erin & Thomas at the Summit House

Erin & Thomas were married March 7, 2009 at the Summit House in Fullerton. With the wedding colors of Pool Blue and Chocolate, Erin chose to use flowers colors of Light Blue, White, and Shades of Lavender. Erin carried a beautiful bouquet of Light Blue Hydrangea, White Freesia, and White Roses. Erin & Thomas chose to use wedding cakes as their centerpieces! Each table had a different cake stand with a single layer cake with coordinating flowers. With all those cakes, the room smelled absolutely delicious!!

Christa & Justin at the Mission Inn

Christa & Justin were married March 7, 2009 at the Historic Mission Inn. I don't get to do very many Sunflower weddings, so I wanted to share a couple pictures from this beautiful wedding! Christa's bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of Sunflowers and Leonida Roses. The Flower Girl held an adorable Pomander Ball of Viking Mums with a Chocolate Ribbon. These colors with the Chocolate theme made a great combination!

Jenni & Bobby at Etiwanda Gardens

Jenni & Bobby were married February 21, 2009 at Etiwanda Gardens. Jenni's colors of Pool Blue and Chocolate were going to be accented with Light Pinks, but she decided to go with a Hot Pink instead. What a great choice! The bright colors just POP in the pictures! Jenni carried a hand tied bouquet of Orlando Pink Roses with White Miniature Calla Lilies. The Bridesmaids all carried hand tied bouquets of Hot Pink Gerbera Daisies that naturally come with a dark center to complement the Chocolate accents in the wedding! For the Ceremony, we hung a Fresh Flower Heart of Pink & White Carnations, White Daisies, and Hot Pink Mini Gerbera Daisies. The Heart was also used to decorate the Head Table. Jenni had found these great Candle Centerpieces, but wasn't quite sure how to incorporate flowers into them. I gave her the idea of filling the base with fresh flowers instead of just utilizing the candle holders. This gave the Centerpieces are very unique and romantic look!

Mission Inn Open House January 2009

This Red Rose & Lily Centerpiece for only $24.95 was a show favorite!

Manzanita branches are a popular choice!

This Pink & Green Centerpiece had pink submersible lights that illuminated the base!

Green Hydrangea with Pink Roses & Peonies was one of my favorites!

Ostrich Feathers accented this Centerpiece of White Dendrobium Orchids, Hydrangea, and Roses.

I want to thank everyone who made it out to see us at the Mission Inn for their Bridal Open House! We had such a great time meeting new brides, seeing some that we have met recently, and even a few that we had the pleasure to work with in the past! I hope everyone enjoyed seeing our work and I look forward to a fantastic 2009!

Jenny & Matt at Life Bible Fellowship and Etiwanda Gardens

Jenny & Matt were married November 22, 2008 at Life Bible Fellowship. Jenny's bouquet was a beautiful combination of Ivory, Leonida, Circus, and Spicey Roses, with Orange Calla Lilies, and Chocolate Cosmos accents. The reception was held at Etiwanda Gardens. With twenty guest tables, Jenny decided to do half of the centerpieces elevated in mixed Fall colors. The other half were done in vases that she provided, in single color combinations. This was a great look for such a large room! To see more pictures of this wedding and a fabulous photograper please visit Michelle Johnson Photography .

Katie & Jeff at the Mission Inn

Katie & Jeff were married November 21, 2008 at the Mission Inn. This wedding was all about the color Green! This a great color to go with the popular Chocolate! At the entrance to the Chapel, we used Chocolate colored Shepherd Hooks accented with greenery and flowers with a candle surrounded by fresh coffee beans. This provided an even more romantic entrance into the Chapel! The centerpieces were alternating high & low with all Green flowers & Chocolate accents. The tall centerpieces even had fresh coffee beans in the vase! The beautiful cake was provided by my favorite Simply Cakes Bakery .

Mandy & Mike at Loews Lake Las Vegas

Mandy & Mike were married October 31, 2008 at the Loews Hotel at Lake Las Vegas. Mandy has been designer for Cupid's Arrow for more than seven years! Every detail was meticulously planned out by Mandy herself! Their colors of Chocolate Brown, Fall Oranges, and Greens were the perfect combination for this amazing Fall day! The weather on the lake could not have been more perfect! Mandy's dad hand built the plant stands that were used for her ceremony, all we had to do was add Orange Cymbidiums, Greenery , and some really tall Curly Willow! What a great idea! Now Mandy & Mike have these great plant stands to enjoy in their new house! We accented the beautiful Brown Aisle Runner with fresh Rose Petals. Hurricane Vases with coffee beans, Dendrobium Orchid & Alstoemeria Blooms and a fragrant candle gave a romantic glow to the ceremony and also the cocktail hour. Mandy provided the centerpiece containers that we filled with flowers in all shades of Orange & Greens and even included fresh apples. The reception look was completed with Chocolate Brown & Olive Green Linens. It was so exciting for us to be included in this fabulous destination wedding! Congratulations!

Heather & Jamel at Etiwanda Gardens

Heather & Jamel were married October 18, 2008 at Etiwanda Gardens. I just wanted to share a couple of pictures to show this beautiful combination of Soft Pink & White with the Silver accents. We set the three tier cake on square vases that were filled with Pink & Clear Acrylic Rocks, Pink submersible lights, and Light Pink Spray Roses. This was a simple way to accent and already beautiful cake!

Christine & Eric at Green Mountain Ranch

Christine & Eric were married October 5, 2008, at Green Mountain Ranch in Lytle Creek. It was a perfect day for this Fall Themed wedding! We decorated the rustic mountainside gazebo with a beautiful fall leaf garland and added a fresh top spray of flowers for the center in the amazing fall colors. The centerpieces were dish gardens that along with the fresh flower blooms included a pumpkin scented candle as well as a fall leaf garland surrounding them. We gave Christine the great idea of doing miniature pumpkin votives on each table. She went even further and made them into the perfect fall favor! The beautiful Fall cake was provided by the wonderful Cucamonga Cakery!

South Coast Winery Bridal Open House

This past Sunday, we participated in our first Bridal Open House at the South Coast Winery in Temecula. This is such a beautiful Wedding & Ceremony location! If you are still looking for the perfect location, I would definitely check this one out! Pictured, are just a few of the favorite bouquets that we had on display that day.

South Coast Winery Bridal Open House

These are some of the favorite Centerpieces from the Open House. The "family style" table settings are definitely becoming more popular! With so many different ways to decorate this type of setting, it was definitely a favorite! Another favorite of the day, was our simple Three Rose Centerpiece! With its unique look, tons of color options, and inexpensive price, this centerpiece remains one of our most popular! Compare the cost of this centerpiece to what it would cost for most brides to make their own, this is a great option! Not to mention, let someone else do the work!

Malinn & Angel at the Mission Inn

Malinn & Angel were married September 6, 2008 at the Historic Mission Inn. The reception was held in the Galleria Room. For a nice change a pace Malinn & Angel chose to have the tables set up "family style". There were four 32' tables with the dance floor in the center of the room. Thirteen assorted vases were filled with Light Pink Flowers. Gladious, Carnations, Tulips, Dahlias, and Gerbera Daisies were used to make each individual vase its own style.

Liliana & Daniel at the Mission Inn

Liliana & Daniel were married August 22, 2008 at the Historic Mission Inn. Liliana was such a pleasure to work with! She was so happy and excited every time we met! I had a great time with this wedding! Liliana carried a hand tied bouquet of White Miniature Calla Lilies. All six Maids of Honor wore Chocolate Brown dresses and carried bouquets of Tiffany Blue Hydrangea. In the front of the Chapel we hung an all White Rose Kissing Ball with Tiffany Blue Ribbon. The reception held in the Music Room had alternating high and low centerpieces. The low centerpieces consisted of White Hydrangea, placed in a clear square vase adorned with Tiffany Blue Ribbon. The elevated centerpieces of White Hydrangea & White Roses, were placed on tall cylinder vases filled with sparkling crystals.

This is the email I received along with the above pictures...

Heather,

There are no words to describe how beautiful everything looked! Our kissing ball was magnificent...the maids of honors bouquets were sensational and my bouquet was exquisite. The centerpieces were to die for...it was all more than I could have dreamed of!!! You could tell how much time, love and emphasis had been placed on each arrangement all the way down to the boutonnieres and the corsages!!!!! I am sending some pics with this email...as they come in I will send some more. I don't have any as of yet with my bouquet but I will send it as soon as I get it! One of the girls has all the pics taken in the room for you I will send them when they become available. Do not doubt that you have a customer for life and will refer you to everyone I meet and know!!!!

Diana & Carlos at the Mission Inn

Diana & Carlos were married August 9, 2008 at the Mission Inn. Diana carried a hand tied bouquet of Hot Pink Roses, Mini Gerbera Daisies, and Stephanotis. Diana's daughter, as Maid of Honor, carried a similar bouquet. The Bridesmaids carried bouquets of Pink Gerbera Daisies. The reception was held in the Music Room. We did four different sizes for the centerpieces. The one common theme, was that all of the centerpieces had Pink acrylic rocks with Pink submersible lights that gave each table a soft Pink glow. There were two sizes of elevated centerpieces. The tallest square vase, along with the lights, had Chocolate colored Curly Willow inside the vase, with loose blooms of Mini Gerberas on the table. The next tallest centerpiece, also with lights, had Chocolate Curly Willow and blooms of Mini Gerberas inside the vase. For this lovely summer evening event, the light color centerpieces, the Ivory Linens, and the Gold Chiavari Chairs was a nice change for this normally dark room.

Christy & Billy at Eagle Glen Golf Course

Christy & Billy were married August 2, 2008 at Eagle Glen Golf Course in Corona. When I originally met with Christy to talk about what she wanted to see in her flowers, she was a little undecided. At the time, she was planning on Dark Red & White. As the wedding date got closer, we met again, and she confided in me that she "really didn't care for the color red!" After much debate, she decided to go with flowers in White & Greens. With the Black & White theme of the wedding, I think she made an excellent choice! I was very pleased with look of this wedding! Christy carried a hand tied bouquet of White Roses, Lisianthus, Freesia, Stock, with just a touch of Hypercum & Variegated Pittosporum. The Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids carried mixed bouquets of Light Greens & Whites. If you have seen my previous posts, you have probably seen the ceremony area for Eagle Glen. Christy chose a completely different look that I think was a fantastic idea for her ceremony. Knowing that her guests would be sitting in the direct sunlight, she chose large market umbrellas to help shield the sun! What a transformation this made! We added shepherd hooks with all White Carnation Pomander Balls, along with White Tulle & Black Satin Bows and fresh Rose Petals to line the aisle. The centerpieces in Whites & Greens created the perfect accent to the Black & White guest tables.

Lizzie & Tyler at Pomona College

Lizzy & Tyler were married on July 26, 2008 at Little Bridges, with their reception at the Seaver House, both at Pomona Colleges in Claremont. The colors were Dark Chocolate Brown, Lime Green, Orange, and Yellow. Lizzy carried a hand tied mixed bouquet of Circus Roses, Calla Lilies, Cymbidium & Dendrobium Orchids, and Hypercum. Although all the girls wore Chocolate Brown dresses, each of the Bridesmaids carried a different color bouquet. The Maid of Honor carried a bouquet of all the colors similar to Lizzy's. Gourmet Gourmet catered the event and also provided the Iron Candelabras on the Head Tables, as well as the Hurricanes on the Guest Tables. Surrounding the Hurricanes on the Guest Tables, we added bubble bowls of single style flowers of Roses, Gerbera Daisies, Button & Fuji Mums, Dahlias, and Orange & Lime Green fruits. Mary Jo Gallegos of An Affaire of the Heart provided the excellent coordination for Lizzy & Tyler!

Lauren & Matt at Etiwanda Gardens

Lauren & Matt were married July 26, 2008 at Etiwanda Gardens. The Mint Green & Hot Pink colors of this wedding were so much fun! I wanted to share these simple, yet beautiful centerpieces. To give some tables height, we placed hand tied bouquets of Lilies, Roses, Hanging Amaranthus, Curly Willow, and Bear Grass wrapped with Kiwi Lime Ribbon in tall Maestro Vases. On the alternating tables were separate bud vases of Stock, Button Mums, and Gerbera Daises. This was a nice alternative to the traditional centerpiece.

Michele & Justin at the Mission Inn

Michele & Justin were married July 20, 2008 at the Mission Inn. Michele chose Yellow as her primary color, which in Summer, is one of my favorites! A Yellow Rose Kissing Ball hanging in the entrance of the Chapel created the theme for this wedding. The elevated centerpieces in Yellow flowers of Roses, Stock, Snap Dragons, Alstroemeria, Mums, Gerbera Daisies, and Dahlias were also used as decor on the altar of the Chapel. The low centerpieces of the same flowers, were done in a bouquet style then placed in a square vase wrapped in Curly Willow. Michele made large Kissing Balls in silk flowers that we hung from the chandeliers along with Ivory Chiffon. The Natural Wood Chiavari Chairs really made a difference in creating a Summer atmosphere to this wedding!

Julie & Ryan at the Hyatt Regency

Julie & Ryan were married July 19, 2008 at St. Cecilia Church with their reception held at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach. Julie carried a hand tied bouquet of Mini Calla Lilies, Sweet Peas, Stephanotis, with just a few Roses. The two Matron's of Honor carried bouquets of Roses and Calla Lilies, while the bridesmaid carried bouquets of Roses, Dahlias, and Lisianthus. Instead of the traditional Toss Bouquet, Julie chose a Break-a-Way Bouquet. When she tossed the bouquet it broke off into three separate pieces, so more than one person could catch the bouquet! The centerpieces were elevated on tall square vases that contained clear acrylic rocks, white submersible lights, and a full stem of Cymbidium Orchids. The flowers in the centerpieces consisted of Roses, Garden Roses, Hydrangea, Lisianthus, Snap Dragons, Alstroemeria, Hanging Amaranthus, and a touch of Curly Willow. As always, it is a pleasure to do an event for Holly Chavez with HMC Event Solutions!

Deborah & Mike at the Padua Hills Theatre

Deborah & Mike were married July 18, 2008 at the San Secondo Church in Ontario. Their reception was held at the Historic Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont. Deborah & Mike's colors of Oranges and Greens went perfect with their reception location! Deborah carried a hand tied mixed bouquet of Roses, Freesia, Sweet Peas, Button Mums, Hypercum, and Mini Gerbera Daisies. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of Roses, Bells of Ireland, Alstroemeria, Hypercum, Button Mums, and Mini Gerbera Daisies. The centerpieces were done in similar flowers placed in Terra Cotta Pots. A single Orange Mini Gerbera Daisy adorned each guest's napkin. This gave the all the white linens a nice burst of color!

Jennifer & Justin at the Mission Inn

Jennifer & Justin were married July 11, 2008 at the Mission Inn. During the planning for this wedding, Jennifer was out of the country. Her sister Ashley stepped in, and was an absolute pleasure to work with! Jennifer carried White & Ivory Roses in a Swarovski Crystal Bouquet Holder that was a surprise from her sister! In the chapel, the altar table was filled with assorted cylinder candles. The glow of the candles against the gold wall of the chapel was stunning! Green Ruscus garland lined the railings with hand tied bouquets of Ivory Roses. The aisle chairs also had similar hand tied bouquets. Hanging at the entry to the chapel was a large Kissing Ball of Green & Ivory Carnations hung with a Chocolate Ribbon. The reception was held in the beautiful Spanish Art Gallery. All of the railings in room were also lined with Ruscus garland. The centerpieces were alternating high and low with flowers including Hydrangea, Roses, Bells of Ireland, Cymbidium Orchids, Stock, Mums, Queen Anne's Lace, Hypercum, and Chocolate Cosmos. The cake layers were filled with coordinating flowers. We completed the look of the room with Chanel Linens in Chocolate Brown, Olive Green Chanel Napkins, and Mahogany Chiavari Chairs.

Sara & Torin at Eagle Glen Golf Course

Sara & Torin were married June 28, 2008 at Eagle Glen Golf Course. I can't believe how hot it already is this summer! This Saturday was quite HOT! At least there was a slight breeze, but not so much that it was blowing the chairs over! Sara's bouquet of Cream Roses, Stephanotis, and Lavender Freesia was wrapped with pieces from her Mother's veil. We used the pearl encrusted lace headpiece around the stems of the bouquet, then we made a bow with the tulle fabric. We don't see many brides wear their mother's wedding dress, so this is a nice was to incorporate that "something old" into the wedding! The Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids carried bouquets of Lavender & Purple that included Roses, Spray Roses, Alstroemeria, Stock, Miniature Carnations, Freesia, and Lisianthus. With Eagle Glen having such a large reception room, having the centerpieces alternate high and low gave the impression a room full of flowers!

Bridal Show at the Double Tree

Mixed White & Ivory
Pink Peonies

Hot Pink Calla Lilies
Orange & Chocolate Fall Mix Leonida Roses with Gerbera Daisies

On Father's Day we had a booth at the BrideWorld Show at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario. Usually it is so crazy that I don't get a chance to really speak with many brides. This time, I met quite a few brides and was able to speak to them in detail about what they are looking for.

I wanted to share the most popular bouquets from the show. Enjoy!

Stephanie & Eric at St Simon & St Jude and the Waterfront Hilton

Stephanie & Eric were married June 14, 2008 at St Simon & St Jude Church in Huntington Beach. The reception was held at the Waterfront Hilton just minutes away. I did the flowers for Stephanie's sister Christa about a year and a half ago, so I was honored to do another event for this lovely family! Stephanie chose a beautiful bouquet of Orange Dahlias and Orange Tulips. The picture of this bouquet does not do it justice! It was stunning! The bridesmaids, in Navy Blue dresses, carried hand tied bouquets of Orange Gerbera Daisies. The Orange flower theme was used throughout the ceremony and reception. Everyone that came into the studio while we were designing the flowers for this wedding were amazed of how beautiful the were just using Orange flowers! With 27 guest tables, having two different styles of centerpieces really was an important factor! When entering the room, guests say flowers everywhere in the room, rather than just all high or all low on the tables. With coordination provided by Holly Chavez of HMC Event Solutions, this wedding was perfect!

Kaysie & Michael at Sierra Lakes

Kaysie & Michael were married June 14, 2008 at Sierra Lakes Golf Course. Kaysie is a friend of Holly Chavez of HMC Event Solutions and her husband. But, as you see in my other post for the day, Holly did the coordination for Stephanie and Eric. Holly recommended Kaysie & Michael hire Mary Jo Gallegos of An Affaire of the Heart for their coordinator instead! Talk about teamwork! Mary Jo is so experienced at what she does, that every event that I do with her is completely stress free for everyone! As on most weddings, I did not get a chance to meet the groom. But, Kaysie and her mom were an absolute pleasure to work for! I couldn't ask for a sweeter bride! Kaysie carried a bouquet of White & Ivory Roses, White Calla Lilies, Stephanotis accented with crystals, and just a few Black Magic Red Roses. The Gazebo at Sierra Lakes is on the small side, so we wanted to give the illusion that it was a little bit bigger than it actually was. Instead of draping the fresh Ruscus Garland on the inside poles, we placed it on the second pole in. We then added the top spray, flower clusters in the top corners, and teardrop clusters about halfway down. The aisle chairs were also decorated with coordinating clusters that were placed along the Head Table after the ceremony. With 20 guest tables, Kaysie decided to use two different style centerpieces. Half were mixed arrangements with a cylinder vase with a floating candle in the center. The other half were in short vases with red acrylic rocks with red submersible lights to give the table a nice glowing effect.

Gina & Marc at Grand Traditions in Fallbrook

Gina & Marc were married June 14, 2008 at Grand Traditions in Fallbrook. This is the first wedding that I have done at this most beautiful location! Gina is an Esthetician that my mom has been going to years. It's always fun for us to do the flowers for someone for we know personally! In my favorite color no less! Gina carried a bouquet of Bi-Color White & Hot Pink Roses, while the girls carried mixed bouquets of Pinks with Chocolate Brown accents. The Lakeside Gazebo was decorated with a fresh Lemon Leaf Garland with blooms of Roses and Gerbera Daisies and a center top spray. The centerpieces alternated between high and low in shades of Pink with Chocolate accents. We placed assorted size blooms of Dahlias, Roses, Mini Gerberas, Spray Roses, and Chocolate Hypercum around each layer of the pale blue frosted cake.

Michele & Rudy at the Mission Inn

Michele & Rudy were married June 8, 2008 at the Mission Inn in Riverside. Black and Deep Reds were the colors of this very elegant affair. More than 400 Ecuadorian Roses in Black Magic Red were used throughout the Ceremony and Reception! Michele carried a dramatic bouquet of Black Magic Roses and Dark Burgundy Calla Lilies. In loving memory of her father, we intertwined his rosary into her bouquet. The bridal party consisting of a Maid of Honor, seven Bridesmaids, and two Jr Bridesmaids all carried bouquets of roses. The gentlemen all wore Dark Burgundy Calla boutonnieres. We hung flower clusters on the railings in the Chapel, along with hand tied bouquets accented with Black ribbon down the aisle. Votive candles along the Chapel walls gave a most romantic glow to the room! The reception was held in the Music Room. We provide the Black Dazzle Linens that covered all the tables, along with the Mahogany Chiavari Chairs that surrounded them. The bride placed Deep Red chargers at every place setting, that we accented with the matching Black Dazzle Napkins tied with a Black Satin Bow. The centerpieces were alternating low and high. The elevated centerpieces were grand arrangements of Roses, Dahlias, Asiactic Lilies, Snaps, Alstroemeria, with Black Accents of Seeded Eucalyptus & Curly Willow. The Giant Red Kissing Balls we hung from all four chandeliers were commented on by everyone who came through the room. This was definitely one of my favorite weddings this year!

Sarah & Nicholas at the Guasti Villa

Sarah & Nicholas were married June 7, 2008 at the Guasti Villa. Cranberry, Orange, and Light Greens were the perfect colors for this historic location. Sarah's bouquet was a stunning combination of Black Magic and Spicey Roses, Hocus Pocus Sweetheart Roses, Burgundy Dahlias, Orange Callas, and Green Hypercum Berries. The Bridesmaids carried similar bouquets with the addition of Green Fuji Mums, and Dark Orange Button Mums. The fountain in the courtyard was draped with Ivory Chiffon with a spray of flowers in the wedding colors that made a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony. The aisle was also draped with Ivory Chiffon with flowers clusters hanging from the chairs. Glass cylinder vases with Red Novelty Orchids and a floating candle decorated the cocktail tables which would surround the dance floor after the ceremony. Sarah assembled Manzanita branches in classic urns and provided crystals that were hung from the branches. We added Red Novelty Orchids and Green Cymbidium Orchids to bring in the wedding colors. Alternating tables used the same urns, but with a more classic centerpiece arrangement.

Kiyona & Paul at Etiwanda Gardens

Kiyona & Paul were married June 7, 2008 at the Etiwanda Gardens. Kiyona carried a hand tied bouquet of Ivory & Pink Roses, Pink Calla Lilies, and Stephanotis with Pink Pearl Accents. The wedding colors of Tropic Blue and Hot Pink was beautiful combination for the early Summer day! The bride's sister, acting as Maid of Honor, carried a bouquet of Ivory Roses with Hot Pink Calla Lilies. While the Bridesmaids carried bouquets of Pink Roses with White Freesia. In the Chapel, we draped White Tulle down the aisle and added clusters of flowers to be used at the reception on the head tables. The centerpieces in shades of Hot Pink with a hint of White, were placed on vases that Kiyona had found and fell in love with. We place a single Dahlia bloom in the vase for a touch of color on the Blue overlays.

Courtney & Robert at Sacred Heart Church and Green Mtn Ranch

Courtney & Robert were married June 7, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church. The reception was held at Green Mountain Ranch. Courtney carried a mixed Spring bouquet that consisted of Roses, Lisianthus, Delphinium, Freesia, Sweet Peas, and Stock. The Maid of Honor, Bridesmaids, and Flower Girls all carried smaller versions of this same bouquet. The centerpieces were kept simple, by placing a single Hydrangea stem, in alternating colors, with a collar of greens in a small vase wrapped with Curly Willow. With 16 tables, this look showed the wedding colors throughout the reception area.

Courtney & Alex at Edwards Mansion

Courtney & Alex were married May 31, 2008 at the Edwards Mansion in Redlands. After postponing there wedding eight months and completely changing the colors, it was great to finally do this wedding! Courtney loved the bouquet she had picked originally, but when the colors changed from Fall colors to bright Pinks & Greens, she had a really hard time deciding what to do for her bouquet. About a week before the wedding, Courtney came into the studio and found the perfect color roses. Her hand tied bouquet consisted of Pink & White Bi-color Roses, a few Orlando Pink Roses, and Stephanotis. We made a similar miniature bouquet for the flower girl. The bridesmaids wore Sage Green dress and carried mixed bouquets of Pinks & Greens. For the reception, Courtney & Alex chose alternating centerpieces in Silver Urns & Silver Pedestals. The flowers included Hydrangea, Roses, Garden Roses, Carnations, Gerbera Daisies, Stock, Snap Dragons, Sweet Peas, Bells of Ireland, Fuji Mums, and more in bright Pinks & Greens. We also provided the Sage Green Embroidered Overlays that I think made a huge difference in the look of the room! Their cake is definitely one of my favorite things! Courtney brought me a picture of exactly how she wanted the cake to look. It turned out even more beautiful than I could have imagined!

Jennifer & Steve at the Double Tree Hotel

Jennifer & Steve were married May 31, 2008 at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario. Last year, we had the privilege of providing the flowers for Jennifer's sister Meagan's wedding at Etiwanda Gardens. It was an absolute pleasure to do another wedding for this family! Jennifer carried a hand tied mixed bouquet of Roses, Alstroemeria, Stock, Lisianthus, Sweet Peas, and Miniature Gerbera Daisies all in white. As Matron of Honor, Meagan wore a Black dress with a Turquoise accent and carried a bouquet similar to the bride, but with Fuchsia Mini Gerbera Daisies. The bridesmaids carried the same bouquets, but were dressed in Turquoise with a Black accent. I really like the contrast in the colors of the flowers against the dresses. This is the first time that I have decorated the newly remodeled gazebo at the Double Tree. We hung flower clusters in White & Fuchsia with Turquoise ribbon on the four concrete poles that face the guests. A large spray was also placed on the gazebo as an overhang to Jennifer & Steve. Chairs for the ceremony were decorated with simple Pink & White Stargazer Lilies with Turquoise ribbon. Holly Chavez, of HMC Event Solutions, did an excellent job as coordinator for this event (as always!)

Karen & Dennis at Eagle Glen Golf Course

Karen & Dennis were married May 25, 2008 at Eagle Glen Golf Course in Corona. Karen carried a hand tied Biedermeier style bouquet of Lavender Calla Lilies, Cream Roses, and Green Cymbidium Orchids. The Bridesmaids carried mixed bouquets of Roses, Stock, Bells of Ireland, Lisianthus, Freesia, Button Mums, and mini Cymbidium Orchids in Lavenders and Light Greens. Along with fresh flowers, we draped Ivory Chiffon to dramatically change the basic arch provided by Eagle Glen. My favorite part of this wedding had to be the aisle! The bride proved us green golf baskets, which we lined with fresh moss and filled with fresh Hydrangea in White, Pale Green, and Purple. This was a great way to incorporate the golf course into the wedding, rather than ignore it completely. The centerpieces were alternating high and low continuing the color theme of the wedding. Karen & Dennis purchased all of the urns and vases used so that their guests could take the whole centerpiece, instead of just the flowers, as a gift at the end of the reception.

Samantha & Colin at the Castaways Restaurant

Samantha & Colin were married May 25, 2008 at the Castaways Restaurant in San Bernardino. Samantha carried an all White hand tied bouquet of Roses, Lisianthus, Sweet Peas, Phalaenopsis Orchids, with accents of Dusty Miller. The Maid of Honor wore a Lipstick color dress, while the Bridesmaids wore Coral color dresses. They all carried the same bouquets of Pink Roses, Dark & Light Pink Miniature Gerbera Daisies, and Pink Wax Flower. The fresh flower spray on the Gazebo was also used on the Bride & Groom's sweetheart table. Along the aisle, we hung fresh pomander balls of Carnations with Mini Gerbera Daisies from shepherd hooks. I really like the look of this aisle for summer weddings!

Linda & Donny at Mountain Meadows Golf Course

Linda & Donny were married May 25, 2008 at the Mountain Meadows Golf Course in Pomona. Linda carried a beautiful hand tied bouquet of White & Hot Pink Roses, Yellow Calla Lilies, and Stephanotis. The Bridesmaids wore yellow dresses with a brown sash and carried Biedermeier style bouquets of Hot Pink Roses, White Spray Roses, and Yellow Mums tied with Chocolate Satin Ribbon. Two of the Flower Girls carried fireside baskets with matching flowers. One Flower Girl carried a White silk pomander ball with fresh spray roses in Hot Pink & Yellow. If you have more than one Flower Girl, it's nice to give them different styles to carry. Hand Tied Bouquets, Pomander Balls, or Fresh Baskets with Rose Petals are among the most popular. Linda & Donny chose to utilize their location's Maestro vases. We place bouquets tied with ribbon in the vases so that their guests could take them at the end of the evening.

Roxane & Scott at the Mission Inn

Roxane & Scott were married May 17, 2008 at the Mission Inn in Riverside. Anyone who knows me, knows that my absolute favorite color is pink! So, I just love pink weddings! Roxane carried the sweetest bouquet of bi-color pink & white roses with Rhinestone accented White Calla Lilies. The bridesmaids in Chocolate dresses carried bouquets of Roses, Stock, Lisianthus, and Wax Flower in Soft Pinks. We kept the chapel very simple and just added a couple flower clusters on the front railing that was also used on the couple's sweetheart table. The Galleria Room's guest tables were decorated with Soft Pink & White centerpieces with Chocolate accents. We scattered loose rose petals on the cake table along with the bride's toss bouquet. The simple flower clusters were just enough to highlight the white wedding cake.

Amy & Bernard at Green Mountain Ranch

Amy & Bernard were married May 17, 2008 at Green Mountain Ranch in Lytle Creek. This unseasonably hot weather could have been a problem for an outdoor ceremony and reception! But being that Green Mountain Ranch is location deep in a canyon, it was much cooler than the outlying areas! The wedding colors of Lavenders, Purple, and White went along nicely with the greenery of all the trees. Amy's spring bouquet of Roses, Freesia, Lisianthus, Sweet Peas, and Misty Blue was perfect for this "country" style wedding! The flower spray decorating the gazebo was also used to decorate the bride and groom's sweetheart table. The centerpieces of Lavender & White were Stargazers, Stock, Alstroemeria, Miniature Carnations, Lisianthus, Mums, Roses, Statice, and Misty Blue surrounding a tall cylinder candle.

Veronica & Brigham at Claremont Presbyterian Church

Veronica & Brigham were married May 16, 2008 at Claremont Presbyterian Church. Veronica carried a hand tied bouquet of White Roses, Freesia, Lisianthus, Stock, "Schwarzwalder" Callas, and a mixed green collar of Lemon Leaf and Camelia Leaves. The bridesmaids' bouquets of Lemon & Camelia Leaves accented with Dark Blue Delphinium, Purple Lisianthus, and White Sweet Peas were a nice contrast against the Eggplant color dresses. Veronica & Brigham's reception was held in the Music Room at the Mission Inn. The centerpieces were different size cylinder vases with submerged flowers of Stock, Dendrobium Orchids, and Delphinium. A white floating candle and scattered Lemon Leaves completed the look. The classic head table had a beautiful full arrangement in their wedding colors with Gladiolus, Stock, Bells of Ireland, Delphinium, Lisianthus, Asiatic Lilies, Alstroemeria, and Dendrobium Orchids.

Sarah & Francisco at Sacred Heart Church

Sarah & Francisco were married May 10, 2008 at Sacred Heart Church in Rancho Cucamonga and held there reception in the Spanish Art Gallery at the Mission Inn. Sarah chose a bouquet of Ivory, Peach, and Pale Pink roses, Stephanotis with crystals, and filler of rice flower. The bridesmaids wore Mocha & Chocolate dresses and carried bouquets of White & Peach Roses. The adorable flower girl basket had an assortment of roses and spray roses. Alternating centerpieces of high and low in shades of light to medium pink accented the tables which were covered with Chocolate Satin Linens and Cinderella Blue. The Ivory Chiffon with lights draping the stair railing and cake table railing added a nice romantic feel to the room!

Mission Inn Open House, March 2008

video

The Historic Mission Inn in Riverside presents its Bridal Open House three times a year. Cupid's Arrow is proud to be one of the preferred vendors included these events. In March 2008 we decorated the Galleria Room. We chose Chocolate Brown Satin linens and chair covers to be our main theme. We then accented the tables in pairs with Ivory, Sage, Pale Pink, Copper and Burgundy. Rather than do the entire room in one color, we like to show off many different color combinations. Vantage Point Productions made this great video of our work from the Open House. We hope you enjoy!

Jennifer & Adam at the Guasti Villa

Jennifer & Adam were married May 4, 2008 at the Guasti Villa in Ontario. The couple chose spring colors of Yellows, Peaches, Oranges, and Light Greens. Jennifer carried a hand tied bouquet of White Hydrangea, Ivory Lisianthus, and Ivory Roses. The bridesmaids carried mixed spring bouquets to accent their Soft Yellow dresses. For the ceremony, we placed a large spray of flowers in the beautiful fountain. White tulle draped the aisle with round clusters of Light Greens, Yellow & Orange Asiatic Lilies and Circus Roses that were also to be used on the cocktail tables. The centerpiece arrangements continued the spring theme with bubble bowls wrapped with curly willow.

Lauren & Tim at the Surf & Sand Resort

Lauren & Tim were married May 3, 2008 at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach. Lauren chose Light Green Hydrangea, Burgundy & Pale Pink Roses, and Burgundy Cymbidium Orchids for her hand tied bouquet. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of Pink Alcapulco Lilies to complement their Sage Green dresses. Lauren provided large wine glass shaped vases to elevate some of the centerpieces. We filled the base of the glass with white & green stones and a single stem of Pale Pink Gladiolus. The other centerpieces were our classic Iris style with White Iris, Pink Blush Dendrobium Orchids, and Pink Alcapulco Lilies.

Shannon & Jonathan at St Peter & St Paul Church

Shannon & Jonathan were married May 3, 2008 at St Peter & St Paul Church in Rancho Cucamonga. The couple chose colors of Purple, Light Green, Hot Pink, Bright Orange, and Ivory to complement the purple bridesmaids dresses. The groomsmen wore boutonnieres of Purple Lisianthus, which is a nice alternative to a rose when a bride is looking for a bright purple rather than a lavender. The flowers that decorated the unity candle stand and the church pews were transferred to Shannon & Jonathan's sweetheart table at Sierra La Verne Country Club where their reception was held. It's always a good idea to utilize the ceremony flowers at the reception, if possible. The vase centerpieces in a fresh spring flower mix were perfect for this afternoon reception!

Cary & Eric at Padua Hills

Cary & Eric were married May 2, 2008 at Padua Hills in Claremont. Ivory, Champagne, and Burgundy were colors that accented this beautiful location nicely. The gazebo was decorated with a variegated ivy garland and a fresh top spray of flowers that was to be used on the couple's sweetheart table as well. The guest tables had alternating centerpieces of bubble bowls with ivory, white, and champagne flowers, and hurricane candle centerpieces that the bride provided. An inside archway was draped with burgundy chiffon and flower accents that were added to complete the look of the reception.

Kathryn & Jason's Reception at the Mission Inn

Kathryn & Jason were married April 6, 2008 in Tennesee. I had the pleasure of providing the flowers for their Reception on April 20, 2008 in the Music Room and the Mission Inn. Although it was only the reception, Kathryn still carried a bouquet. Her Hand Tied Bouquet of Ivory, Leonida, and Spicey Roses with an accent of Green Hypercum was an excellent choice! Simple, yet Stylish Centerpieces adorned their twenty tables. This Centerpiece, which can be done in just about any color combination, continues to be one of our most popular choices for our budget conscious brides. Lighted Curly Willow Arrangements in Tall Chocolate Brown Stands provided a nice backround to Kathryn & Jason's Sweetheart table, along with a coordinating floral arrangement.

Olga & Jim at Guasti Villa

Olga & Jim were married April 18, 2008 at the Guasti Villa in Ontario. Their wedding colors of Ivory, Clover Green, and Chocolate Brown went along beautifully with the ambiance of the Guasti Villa. Simple Hand Tied Bouquets of Lilies and a Cymbidium Orchid lined the aisle of their Courtyard ceremony. The Centerpieces were in bubble bowls wrapped with Curly Willow and a mixed arrangement of Ivory, Whites, and Greens.

Christina & Scott at the Mission Inn

Christina & Scott were married April 12, 2008 at the Mission Inn. Christina carried a hand tied bouquet of White Miniature Calla Lilies surrounded by Green Cymbidium Orchids. The bridesmaids bouquets were Orange Calla Lilies surrounded by Green Cymbidium Orchids. Christina & Scott decided to keep the Chapel very simple with White Silk Rose Petals down the aisle and Votive Candles along the side walls. I always say that adding these votive candles gives a romantic feel to the Chapel for very little expense. The reception was held in the Galleria. The tables had Chocolate Organza Overlays and the Chocolate Satin Napkins were each given a White Dendrobium Bloom accent. The unique centerpieces were in Tall Cylinder Vases with Long Stem Calla Lilies, Chocolate Curly Willow, and Steel Grass. Also accenting the tables, were two 4" Bubble Bowls of White Hydrangea with Chocolate Curly Willow. Kirk from The Baker's Oven provided their white frosted cake with Chocolate Ribbon. We added the fresh flowers of Green Cymbidium Orchids and White & Green Dendrobium Orchids.

Olivia & Tom

Olivia & Tom were married April 11, 2008 at St Anthony's Church in Upland, California. Their reception was held at the Rancho Cucamonga Senior Center at Central Park. Olivia's beautiful bouquet of Pink Cattleya Orchids and Bombay Dendrobium Orchids was perfect for their Tropical Themed wedding. Olivia's 10 bridesmaids (yes, I said 10!) carried bouquets of Orange Asiatic & Pink Stargazer Lilies. The flower girls handed out single stems of Bright Pink and Bright Orange Gerbera Daisies.

Sarah & Brook at the Mission Inn

Sarah & Brook were married April 5, 2008 at the Mission Inn. Sarah's bridemaids wore Chocolate Brown dress which their bouquets of Light Greens, Ivory, and a touch of Chocolate Hypercum Berries accented beautifully. We kept the Chapel decor simple with a Fresh Garland of Seeded Eucalyptus & Lemon Leaf tied with Chocolate Satin Ribbons. We also lined the side walls of the Chapel with small Votive Candles to give off a nice romantic glow! The reception was held in the Galleria Room. Sarah & Brook chose two styles of centerpieces. The elevated centerpieces were on our rustic vine pedestal, which are nice because they are high enough for the guests at the tables to speak to each other without the flowers being in the way. The low centerpieces were placed in a deep bronze colored urn that the Bride provided us. She also provided smaller, but taller urns for the cocktail tables in the Courtyard. For an evening event where guests mingle outside, it's nice to decorate these tables as well as the ones inside! Sarah & Brook's linen choice of French Brocade in Basil color was a great choice! It was something a little "out of the box" that made her reception stand out from the rest! The chair covers in Ivory Satin with a Chocolate Organza sash, and Chocolate Satin napkins went together nicely!

Lauren & Duke at the Mission Inn

Lauren & Duke were married March 30, 2008 at the Mission Inn. The wedding colors of Bright Pink & Bright Green definitely showed through her centerpieces! Lauren's dad cut fresh Manzanita branches and supplied the large plaster urn. We arranged the branches and added Roses, Fuji Mums, and Fuschia Dendrobium Orchids. These "tree" centerpieces went along nicely with the high ceilings in the Spanish Art Gallery and were complemented on by all Lauren & Duke's guests! And, to break up the room, it was a nice decision that the bride made to use a lower centerpiece as well as the high trees. When you look out into the room you see flowers all over the room rather than just high or just low.

Nicole & David at the Mission Inn

Nicole & David were married at the Mission Inn on March 29, 2008. Nicole wanted a simple bouquet just as an accent, her decision to go with White Peonies with White & Black Anemones did just that! The bridesmaids carried small bouquets of Black Magic Roses and Red & Black Anemones. Nicole brought me two different centerpiece containers that were a deep red color. I used a mix of red & burgundy flowers, including Red & Black Gerbera Daisies and Seeded Eucalyptus that I painted black to add their accent color. Simply Cakes Bakery provided the "Champagne" colored cake which we decorated with Black Magic Roses. Nicole & David chose Red Satin Linens, Black Satin Chair Covers with a Cherry Iridescent Sash, and Black Satin Napkins.

Denise & Geoff at the Mission Inn

Denise & Geoff were married March 29, 2008. Their ceremony was held at St Paul the Apostle Church in Chino Hills and their reception was held at the Mission Inn in the Music Room. Denise's Beidermeier Style Bouquet of peach Calla Lilies, Cream Roses, and Green Cymbidium Orchids was a beautiful choice! Her bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of Cream Roses, Pale Yellow Stock, Green Mini Cymbidium Orchids and a touch of Orange Unique Roses for a hint of color. A large White Dendrobium Orchid arrangement on Denise & Geoff's place card table made a really nice accent as guests made their way into the reception. The centerpieces were mixed arrangements in the wedding colors of peach, pale yellow, light greens, white, and ivory in a small urn to add a touch of gold accent. The Mango Organza Overlays with the Gold Chiavari Chairs changed the look of the Music Room in the most amazing way! Their DJ, Scott Yoffe at Entertainment Express provided the lighting along the walls. The lighting is such a subtle addition that can really give the room a dramatic accent! Mary Jo Gallegos from An Affaire of the Heart was Denise & Geoff's Coordinator. She did an excellent job making sure that everything ran smoothly from start to finish!

Jennifer & John at the San Diego Marriott

Jennifer & John were married March 15, 2008 at San Diego Marriott. Jennifer is an Event Coordinator who I did an event for last year! Talk about pressure! Out of her many choices I had to be sure to prove that she made the correct choice in choosing us for her wedding day! Their ceremony was on a four story rooftop overlooking the marina! The view was just amazing. Her colors of purple, lavender and whites showed beautifully on the the site provided arch. Her centerpieces were in her same wedding colors in an antique ivory urn. I received a wonderful email from her the day after her wedding...

Hi Heather,

I just wanted to say THANK YOU VERY MUCH for doing such a BEAUTIFUL job with our wedding flowers!!!! They look absolutely AMAZING!!!! I received so many compliments from my family and friends!!! You truly exceeded my expectations!!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

I'll email you some of the pictures when they are available (in about 2 wks).

Sincerely,

Jennifer & John

My Very Own Wedding!

On January 20, 2008, my fiance and I tied the knot at the Historic Mission Inn in Riverside, California! We had been dating about 7 years, and decided it was about time! But, since I am in the business and really didn't want to take any time away from any of my brides....I planned our wedding in 4 weeks! Yes, that right! 4 weeks!!

The location was an easy choice. The Mission Inn is know for it's beautiful venue, but the food just makes it out of this world! The dinner and service was beyond expectation! I also had the help of two of my favorite Wedding Coordinators, Mary Jo Gallegos of An Affaire of the Heart, and Holly M. Chavez of HMC Event Solutions. Over the years, these two ladies have become more than just fabulous coordinators to me, they are my friends! Scott Yoffe from Entertainment Express made sure that my reception ran smoothly and that all of our guest had a spectacular time! Simply Cakes Bakery in Riverside, provided the most amazing and delicious cake! Rev. Judy DeMarco blessed us with a most memorable ceremony! George from RC Photography in Rancho Cucamonga far exceeded my expectations for photographs! I will cherish our wedding photos forever! Vantage Point Productions provided our wedding video. This is one thing that we decided on at the last minute, and I am so glad we did! Even though the wedding was only a few months ago, there were things on the video that we had already forgotten about, or missed altogether! We laughed and cried watching it for the first time! My hair and make-up was done by Heaven with RC Beauty and Spa in Rancho Cucamonga. She traveled to the Mission Inn and the proof of her work is in the photos! I couldn't have asked for more! And last, but not least, the flowers!! Of course, Cupid's Arrow provided all the flowers, decor, and linens for my wedding! My bouquet consisted of Black Magic & Candy Bianca Roses, Red Charm Peonies, and Burgundy Cymbidium Orchids. My first choice for my bouquet was Pale Pink Peonies with Black Magic Roses, but even being in the business didn't help when it came to Mother Nature's decision to not make the Pale Pink Peonies available on my weekend! But, in the end, the second choice ended up being the bouquet of my dreams! The chapel is already beautiful in itself! I added votive candles along the side walls to give it a very romantic feel, and also covered the altar table with assorted size cylinder candles and votives. The front railing was draped with ivory chiffon and burgundy and pale pink flower cluster at the center. And, down the aisle I had small hand tied bouquets attached to the chairs. In the reception, I used Champagne satin chair covers with a cherry red iridescent sash, Champagne linens, and Champagne napkins with a cherry red ribbon. My centerpieces were elevated on a rustic ivy stand in burgundy with a touch of pale pink, I even added red crystals to hang from the stands. I also added red square votives and red & pale pink M & M favors to each table. We do so many weddings throughout the year, and there are all unique in their own way! I just wanted that very same uniqueness in my own wedding! I hope you enjoy the pictures! And if you have any questions about any of my vendors, please let me know! I highly recommend each and every one of them!!!
